About Lexica

The short version

If you sell products or services to law firms, you need accurate attorney contact data. You need to know which attorneys are actively licensed, who the decision-makers are, what practice area they focus on, and how to reach them.

Generic B2B databases like ZoomInfo and Apollo weren't built for this. They can't verify bar status. They can't distinguish a managing partner from a first-year associate. They can't segment by practice area beyond "legal services."

Lexica was built specifically to solve this problem. We source data from state bar associations, cross-reference against court records and business filings, and verify every email and phone number before delivery.

How we got here

Lexica is part of the Provyx family of data products. Provyx builds verified contact data across healthcare, veterinary, financial advisory, and other regulated industries. We built Lexica as a dedicated brand for the legal market because attorney data has unique sourcing requirements that don't fit neatly into a general B2B data product.

State bar associations publish data differently than medical boards or financial regulators. The practice area taxonomy is different. The buyer ecosystem (legal tech, recruiting, court reporting, e-discovery) has different needs. Lexica exists because this market deserves a purpose-built solution.

Our team

Lexica is led by Rome Thorndike, who built the data infrastructure at Datajoy (acquired by Databricks) and has held data roles at Microsoft, Salesforce, and Snapdocs. He holds an MBA from UC Berkeley Haas.

The team has deep experience in data operations, B2B enrichment, and regulated industry intelligence. We've built data pipelines that serve companies from Series A startups to Fortune 500 enterprises.

What we believe

Data quality matters more than data quantity. A list of 500 bar-verified, practice-area-classified attorneys with accurate emails beats a list of 5,000 unverified contacts with 20% bounce rates. Every time.

We don't sell platforms. We don't lock you into annual contracts. We build the data, verify it, and send it to you. That's the business model. If the data is good, you'll come back. If it isn't, you shouldn't have to.
